US dominated 2012 London Olympics swimming finals which was held at the Aquatics Center in Olympic Park on August 2, 2012, winning gold medals in three of the four events.

In the women's 200 meter breaststroke, Rebecca Soni emerged as the gold medal winner after breaking her own world record in the finals. The 25 year old Olympian took control of the race after the opening length and touched in a time of 2 mins and 19.59 secs.

Satomi Suzuki from Japan claimed silver medal while Iuliia Efinova from Russia took bronze.

In the second final also held that evening, Tyler Clary emerged as the victor in a new Olympic record of 1 min and 53.4 in the 200m backstroke, beating the defending champion and team-mate Ryan Lochte who got bronze. Japan's Ryosuke Irie got the silver medal.

Meanwhile, just 0.04 seconds outside of his own record, Michael Phelps claimed his 16th Olympic gold medal and 20th in total in the men's 200m individual medley. Ryan Lochte took silver while Laszlo Cseh took bronze.

The Netherlands' Ranomi Kromowidjojo ended Team USA's winning streak by rising to victory in the 100 meter Freestyle, while Aliaksandra Herasimenia of Belarus and Yi Tang of China claimed silver and bronze, respectively.
