Mayor Alfredo Lim suspends afternoon classes in Manila due to inclement weather.

The country's weather bureau PAGASA, reported that Bagyong Gener was last spotted in 270 km Northeast of Basco, Batanes having a maximum sustained winds of 120 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 150 kph. Storm warning signal number 2 was issued in Batanes Group of Islands, Babuyan Group of Islands and Calayan Group of Islands while Signal No. 1 for Apayao and the rest of Cagayan.

Typhoon Gener is expected to enhance the Soutwest Monsoon that will bring rains and moderate to strong winds over Luzon and Visayas region in the following days. Meanwhile, PAGASA also spotted a low pressure area 270 km Northwest of Laoag City. The public is advised to keep watch on further weather advisories and update.
